HHMwinter

Joining Sandra today for HHM

THE WEATHER:::

43 degrees and SUN-SHINEY!

RIGHT NOW I AM:::

Taking a break after getting the kids started on schooling … another cup of coffee is in order!

THINKING:::

about the future – just a few more days and HOPEFULLY, God willing, we can start taking action to get Daniel started on a new job!

ON MY READING PILE:::

The 24th CAT WHO book … The Cat Who Talked Turkey.

ON MY TV:::

Andy Griffith on TV Land … in between cartoons on Disney Jr.

ON THE MENU:::

Tonight:  lasagna – kids’ favorite

easy, tummy-warming meals for the rest of the week:  noodle-y soups, chicken chili, maybe tater-tot casserole

Berries (black and blue) have been on sale recently at Aldi’s … I’ve been making yummy cobblers for desserts!!

ON MY TO-DO LIST:::

Year-end accounting for our church and its school … FUN FUN (not!) – but Lord willing, after 8 years, this is my LAST TIME to worry about W2s and W3s and 1099s.

I’m making MORE LISTS of things that need to get repaired around the house if we can put it on the market this spring …

LOOKING AROUND MY HOUSE:::

I am seeing things with  a more critical eye these days … so much to do, clean, pack, sort, and THROW or GIVE AWAY.

FROM THE CAMERA:::

One of my favorite pictures of MiMi from last week

ON MY PRAYER LIST:::

A friend is in the hospital at Walter Reed in D.C. in ICU … she is a mother of 5 … kidneys and liver problems, potentially complications from strep throat.   Her husband is updating us on facebook, and he is very concerned (he is an Army nurse, so he understandsd a lot more about what is going on).

On Wednesday a “Professional Standards Board” is meeting about Daniel’s potential job and will get back with us with exact details for salary and when he’ll start work/training and such.  I am praying for favor on my husband – and a really good offer that will allow me to either continue to stay home or only have to work part-time.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:::

My “word of the year” is RESOLVE.  I am resolved to get busy now that the new year has begun … to live more healthy, to get our home organized and ready to pack up and put on the market, to be more disciplined in general.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

    The beginning of a New Year is such a good time to make lists of stuff you want to get done around the house, especially with spring around the corner.

    The binder clip is a really neat idea too. Thanks for sharing! I am a sort of Pinterest addict and there is always a new tip/trick on there, gotta love it.
